OBD tells me ignition coil B failure, could this be a spark plug? I recently replaced them, no check engine lite for about 2 weeks. Then BAM! Runs fine, seems to anyways.

I have the 2.3L, thanks guys!

doesn't that motor have 2 plugs per cylinder? are the plugs on separate coils? if they are, that would explain the coil being bad but still running ok. get an inline spark tester and check them one at a time, preferrably when it's not too bright outside, that'll tell you if the coil is bad, or just the plug. you should be able to get the spark tester at your local parts store for 10 bucks or less, you could also use a timing light to see if they're all firing, just hook it up and make sure it flashes on each wire. Unless this truck has individual coils for each plug, I can't remember, if it does, you'll have to test the plugs with a voltmeter.

Yes, 2 plugs for each cylinder. I will pick one up ASAP and give it a try, thank you!

Ohm the plug wires if you have two per cylinder they should be appx. 1/2 scale.
