want more pep for cheap?????????

got a 99 gtp w 81000 on her she runs great but looking for a little more. is there anyway i can get more by doing simple things to her? cooler plugs/ t-stat/wires/coil pack/T.Bspacer/i plan on getting news pipes from the cat back w/dynomax mufflers and im runnin 93-94 and sometimes 110 octane in her to clean her out.and tips/tricks would be helpful..............thanks :smokin::smokin::smokin::smokin:

well...if your getting the exhaust done, you might as well buy a Ubend (https://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=504&catid=110) delete and have that installed.

Free up the exhaust with a hi-flow cat and u-bend delete, then add better induction with smaller S/C pulley (3.5" or 3.4") with supporting mods including reprogrammed PCM, 180 t-stat and colder heat range plugs. If you want to go further, then you're going to have to spend bigger money for things like headers, true cold air intake (not one of those cheesy cone filter and polished intake tube pieces of junk) or open up the engine and install longer ratio rocker arms, beefier valve springs, etc.... I would also strongly suggest installing a trans shift kit to help it handle the higher power levels.

what kind of power increase would you be looking at with the u-bend delete, aftermarket cat-back, reprogrammed PCM, new plugs, and say a 3.5 or 3.4 pulley, and whatever other supporting mods that are recommended?

That will put you close to 300hp or maybe even better. Hopefully one of the modded
GTP owners will chime in with their personal gains.

I'd say maybe 280 topps.

I've never had it dyno'd (I'm afraid I'd blow the trans)
