transfer case issues???

Hello everyone i am a first time "threader" if thats even the right way to say it...anyway I have a 94 isuzu rodeo with 219k miles and now my transfer case is making horrible noises. Is this something i could take a look into and or replace? or should i leave it to some one to charge me some ludicrous amount of money to fix? Any thing will help thanks for looking:loser:

It's not hard to remove and reinstall a transfer case. They are a little bit heavy but can usually be lifted (with a grunt) by one person.
