is there any way to tell a cams maker and the specs on it. i pulled it out of a 307.but i know it isnt stock cause there was a date stamped on it.

You can try the following link and try to identify your camshaft, however I would suggest getting a new cam and lifters for the desired peformance that you are looking for. Using un old cam without having the lifters in place that match each lobe could cause premature wear failure. Another thing would be to put the cam in the engine completely set up and check the lift with a dial indicator for each lobe, If you have alot of free time. time is money and there are quite a few cam lifter combos out there at reasonable prices.
