Pop up Adds?

has any one besides me noticed that there has recently been a lot of pop up adds on AF?

its most likely Gator or someshit like that
check out ad-aware 6.0 free to d/l and use and it gets rid of all spyware adware and registry adjustments they made
works good it fixed it when i had the same problem
and most likely you are using Kazaa
use Kazaa-Lite ad free and a hell of a lot faster if you get the tweaked one that always has you as supreme being

my school district has filters set up so they can block out all the 'offensive' stuff, and everytime you try to access it, it comes up with a red warning screen and your user info is emailed to the school and it informs the school which user was looking at what 'offensive' material. Most teachers dont care though.
Anyways, i bet you're wondering where i'm going with this.
well one day i got a pop-up ad, and surprise surprise in it was a nice red screen. My teacher, who happened to be in a bad mood that day, saw the red screen and started bitching at me. After trying to explain to him that it was a popup ad for five minutes, he finnaly got pissed off and sent me to the prinicpals office.
Luckly the principal knows the teacher is a dick and just sent me back to class...

That should get you started. I would recommend to stay aay from the spyware. Of course if you have Kazaa there is nothing you can do about it. But if you hav Kazaa crrently, then the lavasoft ad-aware will kill it.:rolleyes:

Had that happen to me. Installed ad-aware 6 a few weeks ago, and after it finished cleaning my system, kazaa would not load, and I had to re-install it.
And on topic, I have never gotten a single pop-up on AF.....

oh thank you guys so much, my computer has been needing that. Ive never had a problem with AF and pop-ups, usually have a pop up killer on, but it didn't catch them all and i had a lot of spyware on this thing, and also kazaa lite helped out a lot also.

in adition with ad-aware use mozilla --- its an amazin broser full featured and on command it will not load pop-ups. sincei started useing it i barelly touch explorer.
