i have a 91 tbird w/automatic seat belts...they worked fine yesterday....now the drivers side will only work in 1 direction (opening the door).
i have took the interior panel off and retracted it by hand and removed the two switches on each end of the "hard track" so it will stay in place...lol can't afford them seatbelt fines. :nono:
can someone PLEASE help me figure out this problem and explain to me what activates the system as well.
also, let me add this....the seatbelt and the door locks are on the same circuit...so i know the fuse isn't blowen...the passengers side works fine.
thank you

The door latch contains the switch to activate the seatbelt motor in the direction that doesn't work. Closing and opening the door activates the motor in either of two directions. Either buy a factory electrical manual on Ebay or check your local library for your year Mitchell Electrical Manual to get a schematic for this circuit.
