i think i just messed up big time

well i tried to rebuild my carb and then wen i push the gas the car slowed down so i tried again n found a piece i left out n put it on and started the car n gas was shootin out of the carb so i had someone look at it n they said i had sumthing backwards so i changed it and tryed to start the car again and it made a loud pop like a shotgun and caught fire I NEEEED HELP!!!

Stop, have a beer or two and don't panic...:disappoin

Carbs can be tricky, take it apart again and follow the directions that came with the rebuild kit to put it back together. Make sure to check/adjust the float level also. Instructions should also be in the kit along with a gauge.
