wipers/rust

just got a 99 gtp and theres rust by the fuel door not bad but there... is this a common problem with G.Ps and ive seen G.Ps with the wipers in the middle of the windshield W.T.F is that about and is it something im going to have to deal with? or maybe its a recall?????????? :shakehead

The rust under the gas door is fairly common (my 99 GT has recently developed it). The wipers parked up is also a known issue, and there is a no-cost fix posted in our tips and maintenance subforum for the most common cause.
