My steering wheel shakes when i break, HELP ME!!!!!

hey guys, I need to know what the possibility of problems what could cause this. My abs light stays on about 1 minute after I start the car, and Yes its a after market steering wheel, everytime i break the steering wheel shakes tremendously. I have asked a few ppl, some ppl tell me it could be bad rotors, brake pads are uneven or something to do with the abs system. Someone please help, thx in advance. Please no flaming.

Most likely bad rotors. Easy and cheap fix.

Warped Rotors, Get some power slot rotors and all will be fine.:D

mine always shakes and it feels like it is the ABS pulsing, i hate it.. it does it no matter how good the roads are as long as i am driving fast and hit the brakes.....?

Yeah, it really don't happen when I am driving slow, but if I'm going 50+ and need to break quick my steering wheel shakes like crazy. I'm not sure but the abs fluid is full and it looks ok, so I leaning towards the rotors. Can anyone tell me how they would look if they are messed up? Also is it the front or back rotors or could it be both?

your first bet is to just shave'm
and if that doesnt solve the violent shaking... then im out of ideas.

alignmet. unbalanced wheel/wheels. possibly bent wheel

alignment is fine, brand new tenzo rims on nitto tires, just changed brake pads, I'm leaning towards warped rotors, anyone have any suggestions that i could tell that they are warped or messed up in anyway? What should I be looking for??

Take them off and take them to be turned (resurfaced) and they will tell you if they are warped or not. That is you only way to find out.

new wheels arent balanced

unless you goto NTB or something. they do all that shit for you for free, i believe... laser balancing and shit.

When wheels shake during idle it's a mount. It happened on my girlfriend's cavalier. Fixed the mount and everything was fine.

i dont think he means shaking by engine vibration

new wheels when I take them to discount tire to get balanced are balanced :D , so I'm sure now I have to take it to someone to find out if my rotors are warped?

any suggestions on what known places are good that are located around the Houston area for finding out if my rotors are warped???
