I rebuilt the transmission in my A/T 3000GT SL. The problem is I bought aftermarket solenoids they have a 18 ohm lock-up and they look different then the stock ones, instead of having the plastic inserts with the screen in them the have a metal one alot shorter kind of like the older ones. But the company says the fit my car any way Its stuck in third gear I was getting the codes for Shift control A and Shift Control B and the Safety lock out for third gear before my OBD conecter messed up. one problem might have been me asking my wife if the wire grommet was pushed all the way up and I put the valve body and pan on and everything. It wasnt all the way up so I pulled on the grommet/ wires a little bit to get it to come through and ended up taking it all off again to push it through. though there is no visable damage to the wires. If your wondering I changed the solenoids again after I put the trans. back in becuase my stock ones were'nt working. I checked the resistance on the connecter it is correct. I tested the solenoids with 12 V switchs and coul'nt hear s**t. I took it to a transmission shop and had them run some tests and he said It could possibly be the solenoids he hooked it up to his Tans-x and could'nt get it to shift all he said was it was a Internal Electrical Malfunction which I put new Pulse Generators in it so It would have to be the Solenoids. I also put a Shift kit in the valve body and I know you are supposed to put more fluid in it then normal but I didnt put that much more becuase I did'nt want to blow a seal. How much more would you have to put in there? could that be the problem? Could it be the TCM malfunctioning? Is there another way you have to reset the ECU or TCM instead of deleting the codes or disconnecting the POS cable.. If you could help It would be appreciated before I go spend $400 on stock solenoids. It runs great though in 3rd gear :frown: Thanks
