Hi everyone! I'm new to the forums and new to the community so I just wanted to introduce myself.
I am Bryce Smith. I drive a 2007 Black Ford Focus ZX3 w/ aftermarket turbo. I live near Laurel, MD.
That takes care of that, now about the car. I bought this car as a daily driver w/ great fuel economy in Feb. '07. I kept her bone stock for the first year as I never imagined making much power out of a focus. About a year ago though, my motorhead side of me came out and I started wrenching. I bought the car in Monterey, Ca and since then it's been down to Mexico, to texas, to Ohio, to Maryland, to Mississippi, to Oklahoma, and back to Maryland. I boosted the car back in December with 19,450 miles on it. It's been running 11psi on factory internals for 7,000 miles now w/ no issues. Here ya go.

I don't know my exact HP and Torque since I haven't dynod yet, but I'm guessing 250-260hp and 235-245lb-ft. My future plans include D-tec 2.3L VVT head swap, Quafe LSD, Saleen Big Brake kit, traction bars, RS bodykit, and eventually Duratec 2.6L Stroker engine swap. Thanks for reading, feedback appreciated.

Welcome to Automotive Forums. It sounds nice. Did you do all the work yourself? How much does an aftermarket turbo cost? If you don't mind me asking. Does the turbo have any affect on the mpg? How many vehicle pounds per HP are you carrying? Like if your car weighed 2400 lbs and you had 260 HP you would be carrying 9.2 lbs per HP.
What vehicles have you dusted off. Any Corvettes? Thanks for the pics. They are great.

Thanks. I did all the work myself with the help of a few friends. My turbo goes for about $1150 new, $950 refurb. Once I get up on the interstate, the turbo actually gets me better MPG cause the turbine idonizes and compresses the air still even though it's not under boost allowing for easier compression and slightly better MPG. I'm not sure what my actual HP is so I'll have to get back with that one once I get it tuned properly and dynod. I'm guessing between 250-260hp and the car weighs 2240lbs with me in it and a half tank. I would say roughly 9. My kill list includes Honda Accord H22A, GTI 1.8T, 99 Mustang GT, 96 Eclipse GS-T, 05 SRT-4, and Ford Focus ST.

Thanks Dealer. I am currently also searching around for a rear disc conversion. I've been searching for several months now. I've caught wind of a place in Churchville, MD that's done it before but I'm not sure who, I'm currently investigating that.
The turbo manifolds alone are hard to find and expensive. Your best bet would be to go to FSwerks.com (formerly Focussport.com) and just buy their kit. You get everything you'll ever need for an ideal turbo setup plus a free tune.
If you're looking to go cheaper in the near future, a good investment is the focussport 2.25" cat-back exhaust. It's high flow and the borla stealth muffler makes a nice rumble. Also, get a SCT Xcal2 or Xcal3 flasher for your ECU. You'll be amazed how much better the car will run on a good tune. Focussport does a free tune when you buy a Xcal2 or Xcal3 from them.
