What tempetature is the scanner reading for IAT when it is setting a fault? Jumper the connector terminals and it should read like over 260F.

You'll need something more advanced than a simple code reader to diagnose a problem like this. Even something like a scan gauge (scangauge.com) is better than what you have. I don't really care for it as a diagnostic tool, I only bought it for the extra gauges (but they're cheap). It has a limited datastream that will show about 1/16 of all the info available from the PCM, and can be programmed to read anything in the PCM (but isn't capable of any other modules). It comes programmed with ECT, IAT, RPM, TPS, vehicle speed, MAP, timing advance, and maybe a dozen other things that I've never had a use for using it only for the gauges.
