fuel pump replacement

OK so my brother-in-law was helping replace my fuel pump on my 2002 F-150 and he removed the fuel lines one blue in color and one black in color. Now we are not sure which line goes on which connection to the sending unit. Can anyone help?

They should be 2 different sizes. Blue should be output, black should be return.
