95 escort retracting seatbelt noise

the drivers side retracting seatbelt cable came out the track and now is stuck, the clicking is very annoying any way to stop this noise:screwy:

Could you pull the fuse? Probably not because I can't find an electrical diagram for it.
You could start pulling fuses until it quits, but it would probably disconnect some other things that you want.

Go down to the base of the pillar the belt is on and remove the trim. There is an electrical connection there. Just unplug it. There is also a bolt there that I think is a torx head. Turning it will manually move the shoulder harness. You can move it into the driving position and leave it there. I went through this with my car several years ago. I leave the shoulder harness hooked up and whenever I get in the car I simply pull it over my head and on to my shoulder.
