Clinked on the link in tips and maint. http://redirectingat.com/?id=252X400&url=http%3A//www.pfyc.com/supportfiles/gasfilter/ (http://redirectingat.com/?id=252X400&url=http%3A//www.pfyc.com/supportfiles/gasfilter/) and it takes me to something else I think?

Is there an updated link to install a fuel filter in a 97 gt?

The filter is on the drivers side near the rear wheel. 16mm line wrench and a 20mm open end wrench are what I use for the nut end. The other end has a quick connect fitting. There might be a bracket that is held in with a bolt with a 10mm head other wise it is just hanging there. There pretty easy to do if the nut end comes loose!

How do I get to it through the trunk? Is there a picture link the old one doesn't work.

You can access your "Fuel pump" through the trunk. The "fuel filter" is near the rear drivers side wheel outside of your car as stated. Which part are you referring to?

Yup, you'll need to climb under the car to change the filter! Sometimes having the new part will help you find the part you are trying to replace.

PFYC revised their web site so the link no longer is valid. We just covered the same issue at the thread below about a week ago. Also, there are some safety tips and depressurizing.
