02 Passat 2.5 V6 TDI warning lights

Hi All
New to this forum.
Had the car from new, has approx 110000 miles on clock.
Recently and intermitantly the ESP warning light comes on and now it comes on with the glow plug warning light flashing!:frown:
Car drives and starts ok but the lights worry me , any ideas before i take it into my local VW dealer to have yet more cash extracted?

The ESP light is traction control. If you loose tire traction the light may pop on (which is a normal function) or you may have a switch problem if it stays on. Your glow plug warning light is a totally separate issue, though both are now on. One or more of the plugs are malfunctioning. Just have your glow plugs replaced.
