hey guys, im new to the forum and I would like to say hello to all. I have a 2007 Mustang GT. So far it is all stock except the SLP loudmouth. My next mod that am planning on doing is gears. I've been thinking of putting 4:10s but i am afraid that it will tach to high for highway driving. What kind of power increase can expect from 4:10s? and would you recommend something other than 4:10s...maybe 3:73s....i would definitely like the launch of 4:10s and do hardly no highway miles....any suggestions are greatly anticipated. Thanks ahead....

5 Speed Manual Correct? If so 410 would be fine, you will still be able to cruise at 80-90 mph without running high rpms

Yes 5 speed stick...so you think that 4 10s would give me enough "tourque where i would be satisfied, and also give me a decent Tach at about 75-80?

Another thing that I have been pondering getting is the Shaker induction system...any thoughts on that?

Shaker, waste of money for power.

If you are going to do a gear change, 3.73 are a waste as well. Going from 3.55 to 4.10 will be worth it.

You can go to 4lo.com and play a little with tire size as well. Every inch is about a .14 change in gear ratio(roughly).

Not to bring up an old post, but what kind of power gains could i expect when going from 355's to 410's ? Has anyone done any tests with qtr mile times? 0-60 times before and after? I own a 2009 mustang gt, california spec. no other mods done to it yet.

No power gains at all. Look up how you calculate HP. Change in gear ratios will just change how the power comes in.
