Auto Zone and Advanced will scan the engine free for codes. Post the codes as they will help with your problem.
If you have heavy objects on your key chain try removing them as this will cause problems with the ignition switch and change ohms causing the alarm to set.

I went to an electrical service center and they removed my alarm/security module in case it affected the start up. The two codes given were U1088 & B1327. Tonight, several days after the service center visit, the Malibu would not start and I notice that the only light "on" prior to turning the key to start, was the "Theft System". Several tries, all the dash lights were on and the car started.! what is wrong and how to fix it?? thank you.

Use a noid light light the link is a picture of a set. A lot of parts stores sell them.
http://www.autopart.com/tools/toolsmain/tool/T_3401.htm
The individual number is 3410. You can purchase a new ignition switch and try this, look through the small chevy forums I think Cavalier and there is information on passlock II using a resister to bypass ignition switch.
You have to reprogram it I left three links one tells how to do this.
http://www.alldata.com/ sells a years service for $29.95 you need wiring diagrams to bypass ignition switch. Also diagrams on pulling steering wheel pulling and other information.
Otherwise go to a shop qualified to do the work.
The security system shuts power to the injectors is why you start with a noid light.
manic mechanic left a lot of information.
