Am I blind or just dumb?

So, I've owned my hatch back since my senior year in high-school which was 1995 (damn, has it been that long?!) so it's been about 8 years, and for all the miles that I've put on the car, and as many hours as I've spent staring at the speedometer, today, for the very very very first time, I noticed that 55mph mark is in yellow, where-as the rest of the numbers on the guages are white... I just never noticed before, so I just thought it was really really odd that I never did notice!

yellow? thats weird mines in red, but id say a little of column a and a little of column b to answer your question.

Blind and dumb.....hheheheheh just playin.... the 55 is a different color because that was the speed limit back in the day.....thats my guess anyway...

yea i've noticed that on my car, always wonderd what it meant, before i thought it meant that you couldnt go past 55, but then i realized after i raced, and it got up to about 80, that wasnt it.

yea, i remember not that many years ago they changed the highway speed limit from 55 to 65... so the 55 was marked back in the day to help us figure out when we are speeding....

Well, I knew that (hence, Van Halens song "I can't drive 55"), but I'm just amazed that I've spent ALOT of time staring at my guage cluster and never noticed that it was a different color.

Damn, here in NY, its still 55......... some highway's its 50......... but never 65........... ERR!!!

i noticed it the 1st day i got mine i was coming home and i thought it meant i couldent go past 55 or something so i tried and it did so i just figured it was the speed limit thing...i always stare at it when im bored *not continuously but yea you know what i mean*
