2000 GV, rear vent window stopped opening, about a month ago driver side, now passenger side. I checked the motor, has continuety. Do the switches fail on these cars, is that the next thing to check?
I found no fuses labelled rear vent.
thanks for the help

Not sure how they are labeled but there are two PTC circuit breakers (no fuses) for the windows on the junction block under the dash. Don't bother with them though. If they were popped you'd have more than rear window problems and they would still work intermittently.
Either check continuity through the switch contacts to verify the switches or gain access to the motor connections and check for power. If you consistently get and loose power with switch movement then the motors are shot. The motors fail more often than switches. A continuity check on motor windings tells you half the story. Most often it's motor brushes that wear and decrease current draw and power under load.

I had the same problem with mine one stoped working a few days later it worked again, it had done that few times after that, so i replaced the motors, I have not had that problem again.

I put in a new motor and still have the same problem.
All the switches are in one "switchbox" with a pigtail attached. Does anybody have a wiring diagram so I can troubleshoot the switches.
btw: If I press the switch long enough, the vent window will eventually open.
thanks

you can search online or purchase a haynes or chiltons repair manual or go to your local Dodge dealer and they should be able to print on off for you.

Great link, never noticed it before, thanks
I should be able to trace it now

Pull the connector off and ck the circuit with a test light. It has 2 wires in the plug and it does not matter which way you hook up the light. The switch is just reversing polarity when pushed to open or closed. Just because a part is new does not mean it is good.
