Battery light comes on

2002 trailblazer, my battery light is coming on and the voltage drops to about 12V, evrything works, lights a bright etc. any ideas??? i

Battery light is on because you have a system charging problem-- have alternator checked....soon or you may be walking home

what you could do is with the vehicle off, use your multimeter and check your battery voltage for 12v. then start your TB and again check the voltage of your battery. it now should be around 14v. if its not then your alt could be bad.

i just replaced the battery in my tb.
