New Hesitation thread

I hate to start a new thread for the same problem someone has already posted about but I have a question. My car as the thread stats hesitates when moving from a dead stop. Say a stop light or stop sign. It doesnt always do this, Ive noticed it most when I just start up the car and go. I attributed it to a cold engine. I was doing some reading here and someone said to fix theirs they plugged there egr valve and all was good. I was thinking it was maybe a dirty fuel filter. Could that be a culprit?

The car is a 92 chevy Caprice 305 engine 5.0L
