92 Olds 88 Royale LS Oil Sensor

While Im driving my readout on the dash shows and oil sensor problem but only sometimes...if I check the guages when the readout says sensor problem it doesnt show oil pressure, however if I slow down just a bit and the guage shows a lower oil pressure (lower than 800 KMA) the read out goes off and everything is back to normal. The car continues to run fine but Im just wondering if the sensor is starting to go and if it does will the car stop running? The readout also shows the code for this problem which is 91.

You could check the actual oil press with a mechanical gage or just replace the sender and see what happens.
