Hey Guys and Gals
I bought a used F150 Supercrew, 2wd, automatic 4.6 eng. 55,000 miles. It is a great running truck, bought it to tow my travel trailer. Now to my problem, the interior lights do not come on when a door is open, I have checked the fuse, it's good, checked for power to the fuse, it's there, checked the relay, the cover came off and I was able to press on the relay and the lights come on. I can not find a door switch, but I doubt that because none of the doors will activate the lights. Any Ideas?:banghead:

If you can press on the relay but it will not pull itself down on its own it sounds like the relay's electromagnetic coil is bad (open) or there is no voltage getting to it, remove the relay and see if you get voltage on the "coil" pins.
If that tests ok see if you have an identical relay somewhere else on the truck then try swapping them and see if the lights come on when you open the doors.

Thanks for the quick reply torch, the relays are really tight, I think I might have to use a pair of needle nose to get it out. The relay below is identical and I will swap with the other. I will let you know how it works out.

If you ever need to know where that door switch is, it should be attached to the latch inside the door. You have to remove the door panel to get to it.
