07 Camry interior problem

Hi, this is my first post...

I have a 2007 Toyota Camry and the problem is that someone had put something in the compartment in the middle of the car beneath the radio where the auxilary mp3 player connector is inside of. It jammed the door. You're supposed to push the door in and then it will come out. I can't even push the door in enough to open it. Any suggestions or ways i could figure out how to get it open?

There are pop-outs on each side of the consul to facilitate passing some cables in to that compartment. They usually pop outward from the inside, but maybe you can pull one out from the outside and then get something like a coat hanger in from that pop out and see if you can get the obstruction to move out of the way.

thanks, i actually figured it out...

i took a paperclip and bent it , then stuck it under the door of the compartment and was able to lift up the item that was causing it to not open.
