I have a question about the post here, I have noticed a increased number of non-realated post by Macgiver. It seems as if he has no clue to what the topic is, someone could need to know how much it cost to fix a muffler and Macgiver will reply asking what year it is and ask if the paint is in good shape. Does anyone else see this kinda trash? Or is is just me.......

Another NC know-it -all

It's a throw away society,it's not my fault.
Use quotes & get facts correct.
There is a big difference between Catalytic converters & mufflers.:naughty:

danielsatur, You have been warned and given time off from this site in the past for similar behavior.
Please realize that while this may be a "throwaway society" to some, to others it is not. Especially those that come to AF to seek advice to keep their vehicles running. It must be nice to have money to not be bothered with something and to just toss it when it breaks. Not everything costs a lot of money to fix, making it worthwhile to repair it and extend it's life. After all a lot of the new "replacement " items are of poorer quality and do not deliver the satisfaction of their older counterparts, so keeping the old ones going is worth it to the individual, not necessarily in terms of money, but for other reasons. I myself would not think twice about repairing , reupholstering, or re-soleing many of the above items you mention.
Please keep to the discussion on hand and if you can help with advice , do so. If all you can offer is satire or something else not related to the OP's issue, then refrain from posting.
