2002 lancer ls

My 2002 mitsubishi lancer?

I just put a new deck into my lancer, After i put in deck the A/c button, defrost, and recirculate icons wont turn on anymore, and right after that the right tail light keeps popping its fuse and when i put in new fuse it just pops rights away. After a day the a/c and other icons worked but then just shut off again. Anyone have any ideas?

Double check all the wires you tapped into. Last thing worked on first thing checked.

i fixed the tail light problem, but i still cant get the a/c

The circuit board that contains the a/c , defrost, and recirc switch seems to went out or something, none of these switches will turn on at all.

Without knowing what you tapped into or anything, there is a green and white wire going into the control head, pin #6 check it for power it is fed by a 7.5A fuse and those are EASY to blow.

all i did was buy wiring harness to put in after market stereo so i didn't mess with any of the wires. And for the 7.5amp fuse , thats for the a/c buttons and such right?

It shows it powering the control head which is aka the A/C ECU.

I checked the fuse it was fine, im about to check to see if the green wire has power, by any chance can you tell me what each wire is out of the 5 wires going into it?

I checked the wires, the Blue Wire had power to it and the black w/white stripe was ground. Idk what the other 3 wires are.

The diagram i'm looking at shows more than 5 wires going into it. What does the connector look like? Shape/pin arrangement?

It a 6 pin harness, blue and green wire on top, black(white stripe), yellow, and white at bottom. Top left pin is nothing. this is the only harness plugging into the board with the a/c recirc and defrost buttons

Hmmmm that is for the blower motor controls according to my diagram. Blue is hot coming in from the blower relay, green is for low speed and is tapped and goes to the A/C ECU as they're calling it on here, white/yellow/black and white are all speeds of the blower. Are you sure there isn't another connector in there? Possibly one that isn't plugged in? Like a big 16 pin connector.

I looked around the 6 pin was all i saw, do you have a link or something to the diagram your using so i can try to use it to find the other harness

i didn't get a PM. I looked at the board with the a/c recirc and rear defrost button and there is only one wiring harness going into it containing the 6 pin harness i described.
