digital dashboard question?

i own a 1990 buick reatta, and since the day i bought it, i have noticed the dashboard, which is entirely digital, flickers in and out entirely. it's never more or less bright, it's either there or not there entirely. about two months ago, my temperature and voltage gauges disappeared and have not made an appearance since, and the dash goes in and out at will.

anyone have any clue what causes this sort of thing?

You might review the few posts on the Reatta forum (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1481) as it looks like one thread there may address this.

For vehicle-specific questions, you will often be better off searching the vehicle-specific forums. I have to believe though most forums are more active than the Reatta forum. :(

indeed, the question similar to mine has not been touched since 2005, so i figured i'd try a new one out of a dead forum.

reatta's aren't too popular, so finding an active forum about them is nearly impossible, especially one where the people posting are knowledgeable about technical issues.

You may be able to find info in a riviera or trofeo forum. I think they used the same dash.
