I have a 98 dodge sport minivan and wipers come on but then you can't
shut them off. You have to pull the fuse.
We have replaced relays and such. Any ideas??

The wiper switch tells the Body Control Module (BCM) to apply the ground to the coil of the wiper on relay. You can verify the switch itself and wiring to the BCM with a multimeter. The BCM is tough to troubleshoot without a dedicated scanner unless you want to shell out some bucks at a stealership. Changing is the only real option. You can reset the BCM by pulling the IOD fuse in the fuse box (PDC)next to the battery for 2-3 minutes.

Thanks RIP'
We scanned it and got a bunch trans codes and a p1781 and p0700.
It also has some trans problems (pops out of gear) we installed a jasper
trans about 6 months ago. The "PRNDL" digital won't work.
The ac hesitates to come on????
another shop told her she needs a BCM $800.00!!!!
only has high beam lamps (mutifunction switch) fixed that.
:banghead:
other codes
12 batt pwr to mod disconnected
21 od hyd press sw cir
28 check shifter signal
35 loss of hyd pump press
I'd bet we never cleared the codes after insatlling the new trans.
thanks again, I'll let ya know.

It's not a relay. It's a fuse in the underhood fuse panel.
