i got it december last year :)
to be honest, i don't like it...the control is really hard to get use to if you play gran turismo...on the other hand, the graphics are very impressive and if you can get by with shitty controls, then buy the game...hahaha
maybe they fixed them since the japanese version came out?

I have had the PAL version since January and I love the game :D Pity about the dodgy controls though :(

Ya I got it yesterday and I think the control is somewhat better. It's like gran turismo on a sim tires... And the online is not as good as I though it can be. I can suspect lots of cheating can be done, though I haven't really seen it happen since you can use the cars you have from the single player. Very fun game none the less.

OOO! Akisan2 it seems like your the first person to even mention the online capabilities of this game... how is it? You say you can use cars from single player online... does that me you can transfer you "winnings" from single to online and from online to single? I'm really interested in the online capabilities of this game. I was going to get it tomorrow w/ the modem so all insight is best right now.

You need to have a cable to play online. And the online is .....okay I guess. By meaning you can bring your single player cars, meaning that its a car you made in your single player mode. The winning thing really doesn't count. More you win at the single player, you get more modding options, thus faster car. There seemed to be some HP problems in the race. People needs to make a race under certain HP cars so that it will be even. It's fun when you have pretty evenly powered cars. About cheating, I am sure you can cheat with gameshark and save it in your garage to make it playable online. I bet that already happened the first thing.

well, I still have alot of fun playing this game. If you like GT3(which I am sure that you all love GT3) then you'd like this game...the control is really similar. Just think the online option is just a bonus and you'd have fun playing this game. Rental might be ok, but I don't regret owning it. It's fun, just expect online to be a bit sketchy.:)

I just got it yesterday and I think it's better than most other racing games out there. It's no GT3 though. Now if only someone would combine the two games, that would rock. The controls are too sensitive in my opinion, and I want more speed. I love the Garage options, but I haven't tried online yet. I gotta hook my car up first.:p

ok... i got it 2 days ago.. friday... and it pretty cool. I LOVE the body modification... if GT3 had this it would be INSANE... but moving on.. the game overall is very nice. If you are familiar with the anime "initial D" then this game has a huge resemblance... espescially the downhill racing courses. I agree the controls are a bit light... but its for a purpose... 4 wheel drift. You just slide you car and hold it w/o loosing speed around a turn... its pretty crazy if you ask me. Overall the game is a good game... GT3 SEEMS better, but in reality AM an GT3 are two different games. If you don't think you'll like it, rent it first. Lastly, the game seems too easy for me. Its been 2 days and i'm already on stage 5 out of 7 so yea... i just really really wanna see this online.... but the stupid modem couldn't work w/ my dsl.. i need to set up a network and shit.... which would cost even more money.. so didn't get it... blah!..... anywho.. very good game overall
rating **** out of ***** :D

Even though GT3 A-Spec is a better game I think Auto Modellista has some cool stuff like the ability to customize cars to your liking and stuff.

Finally another game like Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero, where you can not only do internal mods but also external mods, way to go capcom.
