Wheel size?

I've got a '09 Lancer GTS, and im looking for some new wheels for it. 18" are the stock wheels, but if I plan on lowering it what size should I get the new wheels? I was thinking 17's? only wanna lower maybe an inch. thanks!

you can take 16" also.
