96 caravan shakes when driveing below 55 and stop when you go over 55mph and stops when you let off of the gas it on the pass side what could it be? cant figure it out neither can mechanics help:frown:

How many miles on vehicle??

Have you checked ball jonts, inner and outer tie rod ends, cv axle shaft joints?

What the tire wear like??

I would double check the cv half shafts..

Something else to consider it the spider gear reatauber in the transaxle.

i would buy drive axles both side to to exspenive 1 2 hundred bucks fast easy my van had same problem watch core chrage

Caravans from 1996 to 2000 have the STRUD TOWERS CORROSION problem, check the towers under the hood for corrosion.

I'm a mechanic and I would bet $500 that its your right front axle shaft (half shaft, CV Drive axle). Dont replace both, only replace whats bad, why spend the extra money?
