Change 2006 Allure Headlight

I'm trying to change the headlight on my Mom's 2006 Allure and running into a bit of a problem. For the leftmost lamp (furthest right if you're sitting in the car) the cap which protects the bulb is wedged up against a plastic rail, making it impossible to twist off. Does anybody know how to change this lightbulb?

In the 2007, which should be the same as the 06, your need to take the headlight assembly completely out in order to access the low beam light. The others can be removed without taking it out. The procedure for removing the headlight assembly is detailed in the owners manual.

Basically three screws, and you have to pull one plastic fastener from the fascia (bumper) and pull the bumper back a bit, and pull the assembly out. Again, it is in the manual, and easy to do.
