Hi i am new to the whole performance scene and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. I have a 70 EL Camino (was my dads) and was considering putting a 383 in place of the old tired 350 thats in there now. I was checking out websites for performance engines and one stood out to me. Has anyone used this place before? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance

if u want to replace that 350 with a high performance motor u would be stupid if u didnt go to awsome engines for the motor.im not trying to be mean im just sick and tired of seeing people pay way to much for junk ass motors. his name is bill cannon and builds the best motors in pa by far no questions theres other builders but they cant hold a candel to this guy and if u ever want to put a roll cage in it or any drag race related modifcations to it give me a call il give u a good deal (contact removed by moderator)

Thanks for the info but I already got my engine.
By the way that Awesome Engines place looks like he is overcharging. did u see his prices?
Look at the parts content compared to others..... it's the same stuff except he charges $1000-$1500 more.
I got my engine from Promar its a 383 w World 200cc cast iron heads made 475 HP 470TQ on the dyno (which i got a video of). Comp hyd roller cam, Forged Pistons 6" Eagle H beam rods, Eagle Steel crank, Stainless 2.02/1.60 valves. File fit moly rings, clevite bearings, milodon oil pan, polished aluminum valve covers, and it only cost me $5999 included shipping to my door and a 1 year unlimited mileage warranty!!!
I will recomend these guys to anyone that needs an engine.
These guys know there stuff and are willing to work within your budget.

Track Day Master,
Please refrain from advertising your "wares" here. Many of us are professionals "in the business". We do not use this site to "sell". Trust between those with questions and those with answers must be maintained and you can't do that properly if you're constantly selling, often NOT paying attention to what's being said or asked. You will NEVER see me make a "pitch" for something we sell. You WILL see me make comparisons when people ask prices or power levels. I will often post the cost of a certain operation we do here, but it's to give the questioner a solid "starting point" when they go to get work done locally. We DO NOT solicit work here.
We would apprecate your help in offering expertise to those that don't have it, but not if every post is an "ad" for your shop. Trust me, you don't want to get into a "pissing contest" over who knows more.... There are some pretty awesome automotive minds "on tap" here.
Jim

I agree with MrPbody. This post shows Track Day Master and Newbie 34 have both crossed the line from posting legitimate inquiries to blatant spam, contrary to AF member guidelines.
There is no place for unsolicited advertising at AF, and I certainly do not want an entire thread to turn into one.
