Hey, i just recently bought a 88 supra, as i read in previous post many people are looking for cheap ones? i found mine for about $1100 and it drives like crazy.
now i have a question, while i was looking for my car i visited three people who had one for sale and in all of em (also the one i bought) the leather driver seat was wasted, it looked like they let a rotweiler lose in it. is the leather so weak in these cars? is it even leather? is this a common problem?
the driver seat is also electric, could one easily be replaced by say a cobra chair ?
thx for any answers in advance,

yeah well i think they actually used real leather but the problem is that the weather got to it and crack it to shit
but your best bet would be to keep those stock buckets with all the lumbar support and such i havent had a seat hold me in so well as a Supra just go to a reupolestry(sp) shop and get a new seat made they arent that expesive just don't use real leather if your worried about the same thing happening like the old seats
