Does anybody have comments on this set? I am fairly happy with the composite decals of Scale Motorsport but these sets with the templates is something that I have never used. I searched the forum and also could not find any info on this particular one. Anybody used this set? Are they pre-cut or just the template printed on the backside? Does the template fit the pieces of the model?
Thanks in advance. Comments appreciated...

Usually, the template is printed on the back side of a sheet of CF decal film. You cut out the shape printed on the back, and apply like normal. Usually they fit pretty well. If you've got the skill to do CF decals, you shouldn't have trouble with the SMS set.
It is really just a bit of an effort saver. You can make your own template shapes yourself, or you can pay a bit more for SMS's template shapes.
I doubt there's anything special about the CLK set.

I used the CLK-DTM-Template Set. The quality of decals is exactly the same as the "normal" CF-Decal-Sets.
But be aware that SMS didnīt cover all CF-areas visible in the model (at least they didnīt with the CLK-DTM). The other thing you need to keep in mind is that the templates are a little bigger than the space to be covered on the kitīs pieces. So a little check and check before appliance is advisable.

I agree, check it with the cut out decal, or cut out a template from a thin piece of paper and see how much to trim it. But i believe all sets are a little bigger.

Thanks a lot for the info guys. It seems that the old school way is the way to go: I will prepare my own templates and use the decals at hand.

I didnīt want to lead you to this conclusion. Iīd say to go with the Template Set and work around and cut them before or after application... The parts which donīt have a template in the set can be covered making your own templates...
