no RPM's

I had the tranny changed from the v6 to a v8 transmission..They got the speedometer working but I dont have any RPM's to the right. Any specific reason..they're both 700r4's.

the white wire that plugs into the icm at the base of the distributor is for the tach, check that first, and also fuses.

Transmission has nothing to do with the tach signal..either a dead tach or break in the signal wire.
