Replacement transmission for F350?

We have a 1991 Ford F350 automatic, and the transmission is going.

We've been able to locate a transmission from a '94 F350 and we're wondering if this will fit in our truck.

Any info regarding which transmissions we can replace this with would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

what engine do you have in your truck? Is it 3 speed or overdrive?

Willl not work.Ford is one year interchange on transmissions,1991 only and Ford is this way on parts.Get a price for a rebuild,might be cheaper.

Call a local salvage yard. They have interchange guides for all parts.

The book will probally say 1991 only and Ford is the worst on interchanges.What Ford does needs to stop,6 month changes on parts.
