Why do my speakers keep burning out

I want to know why my speakers keep burning out. I have some cheap flea market brand speakers, and thinking that, that is probably the reason why. But they were working fine until ill took them out of my old car and put them in my new car. Its a 1600 watt 2 ch. amp with 2 800 watt subs. should i get stronger subs or what?

Do you try to power the hell out of them all the time? That 800 watt rating on your "flea market" subs is probably a B.S. rating. RMS power on those speakers are probably under 200 watts. If you're overpowering them for long periods of time, you could pop or burn the voil coils out.

On the other hand, most damage to speakers are caused by underpowering them. For example: using a 30wx2 Sony amp to power 2 10" subs; to try and get more bass from the subs, you turn the volume up more and more. To try and reproduce the power level needed to make the output level that you desire, the amp goes past it's max power supply and begins to deliver power spikes to the sub. This will also fry your subs.
