I like the A C Delco branded batteries, and that's all I use in my vehicles (all GM) now. I've had many reach a decade old and still work flawlessly, as has some of my friends and acquaintances. Amp wise I'd be more concerned with CCA (cold cranking amps) rating. This is helpful if you live in an area of the country where the temps can get cold, and is an indication of starting power on those cold winter mornings when you need it the most. 850 is a good number for most of the country that gets a good dose of winter. If you, or a counterperson looks up the part number for the battery for your vehicle you can either get that one or go up a step to the next, larger capacity (CCA) rated battery. The price difference isn't that bad, especially when you spread it over the life of the battery. I use to run 1000 CCA batteries in my vehicles without any problems in the past, including a '76,'78,'81 Monte Carlo.
You can find A C Delco batteries at your local A C Delco warehouse if your city has one, or most service centers that use A C Delco parts, usually identified by the A C Delco signage at the business.

There are two grades of AC Delcos. The cheap ones are junk. The more expensive ones are ok, but honestly I would never buy one. For my money, it's interstate. By far the best I've seen. I bought a Duralast Gold for my truck w/ 350 V8 in '02 - 1100CAs 900CCAs and the thing still passes the load test with flying colors. Don't remember the exact number, but I know it stayed above 10V@350A for 15 seconds. Interstate, Duralast, and DieHard are made by the same manufacturer, so you can't go wrong with any of them. DO NOT get an everstart. They are absolute crap, worst of the worst, and from what customers have said, walmart will do everything they can to avoid replacing one under warranty. You get what you pay for, I made it through two winters before I realized I had taken the jumper cables out of my truck... and that was when some poor SOB with a cheap battery needed a jump :)

I have one in a car I bought and it seems decent... It sat all winter so I'm sure it's dead now, but it was in the bottom-to-middle of a "good" load test, although it is still less than a year old. I can't comment on how long they last.

Oh, and I made a mistake in my last post. DieHard is what I meant to say when I said Champion. I edited it, but wanted to make sure to point it out.

yes I agree that any battery must not be used so long whether it is expensive or the cheap one. Do not ever consider the price but consider the quality. I use quality battery in my car. I first inquire about the quality and the warranty whenever I change battery in my car then I consider any battery.

I have not yet tried NAPA batteries but I would do so now? Can you tell me more about NAPA batteries and its quality. What is your experience about it?
