Traction control issue?

HELLO. My 2006 Gran Prix GT I think has developed a problem with the traction control. With the TC engaged I am hearing/feeling a high pitched sound from the tranny. When the TC is disengaged the sound/vibration disappears. The sound reminds me of a solenoid oscillating. The pitch of the sound varies when the halfshafts rotate. The sound,TC engaged, goes away after you drive a few feet. Reminds me of the clutch chatter on my old Nova SS 12 bolt positrac when the hypoid grease needed to be changed. The car has 27K+ on the odometer. Appreciate any information.

Is it still under any bumper to bumper or extended warranty? Take it to the dealership and have them check it out. Diagnostics with a Tech 2 scan tool may be required.

I have taken it to a local CHEVY/GM dealer last fall. The dealership i bought the GT from is 45 mi. from my house. They replaced the inner tie rods + T/C switch on the console all under warranty. They did not address the other t/c issue. Time to take er back.
