I would be very grateful to anyone who can translate the 5 items on this set.

I can take a good guess what they are but nonetheless, I'd like to be 100% sure

Thanks in advance for your help

Japanese has three different alphabets (really four, if you consider the use of roman letters- "romaji"). Of those three, two are 'syllabaries'- each symbol represents a specific syllable or sound, used to build words (much like the English alphabet is used. These alphabets are Hiragana (generally used for traditionally Japanese words), and Katakana (used for words imported from forien languages). Cars (and their components) were imported into Japan, and it was much more efficient to adopt preexisting words into Japanese instead of creating entirely new sounds- so it is reasonable to assume that many names for car parts may be written in Katakana (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katakana).

To start with part 1., we see the kanas サイトミラ. (You will need to have Japanese characters installed in Win-doze for you to view these runes.)
サ sa
イ i
ト to (do)
ミ mi
ラ ra

So, put them together and the sounds represented by サイトミラ are sa i do mi ra. Which sounds a lot like side mirror. And the little inner circle labeled as サイトミラ does in fact look like it could be a side mirror.

Did I help with your translating? :licka:

That would be a whole load of liddle saido miras on one car!

Only if you do the other 4 while you are at it :D

Yes, but GPs used to have many more cars running than they do now- maybe they were useful for watching all the other traffic?

I'm really still working on learning hiragana- in katakana your guess is now as good as mine.

Besides, as the saying goes- Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer (or sake さけ) for a day.

2. Metal Rim
3. Disc Rotor
4. Wheel Rim
5. I think it says "etching parts spec" ??? " photoetch and stencil" ???

Not my first or second language even, hopefully someone will translate #5 soon. Btw katakana is the format used for foreign words like the ones above, kanji are the elaborate looking characters.

#5 is nothing special. It just says,
"Etched parts spec
Super high detailed photoetched stencil made 0.1mm"
