Valves

Hey Folks pulled back valve cover off on 3.8 and everything looks like it is black and almost burnt,front side looked good to go,oily and shiny. The back was the total opposite. Looking for ideas or options to fix. Dont know what that means when black and not to oily in there. Thanx will be watching for replies. 1994 Pontiac Transport 3.8

Instead posting new thread will ask here ,also would like to know process to drop motor out,can it be done while on the K-Frame, having issues with reaching the back valves,well you all know that issue,would appreciate some info. I think you can drop the motor out ,then pull it under van, and out.
