The other night I went to a website that offered road sign clickart to use for a site I am building. No sooner had I gotten to the site then pop ups warning me of viruses came up. I Use AVG anti virus. these pop ups were for AV360 anti virus system, which is a fraud and a virus itself, I clicked on a button that downloaded it. Now every site I bring up on Explorer web browser is blocked by this scam trying to get me to pay for an installation.:banghead:

Has anyone else dealt with Anti Virus 360? I'm not sure how to get it out of my computer. I appreciate any input at all.
thanks, Cl8

Have to admit your post had my curiosity. Sorry you are having the "360" problem. Here is some infomation I found help ful from other sites. The second link has an article I would suggest reading but if you can't get to it I have pasted some of it. Cheers.

Sorry to say, but since you clicked on that rogue antivirus "alert" or "warning" or whatever term you want to call it (most choose terminology that can't be used at any decent site) you have inflicited the damage on your computer already........ This rogue antivirus is not a virus, is totally phoney and is only seeking money from unsuspecting computer users......... You can clean your system and prevent further headaches by use of this FREE anti-malware (http://www.compukiss.com/happycomputing/index.php?topic=959.0) program that you can download and run during the steps outlined in this helpful cleanup article:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/malware-removal/remove-antivirus-360 (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/malware-removal/remove-antivirus-360)
There is a link included with the article which will take you to the download site...

There are many variations of this rogue anti-virus malware inflicting problem, all of them dependant on the unsuspecting and uninformed to click on some part of the screen message... clicking on anything infects the machine with malware and all the headaches they cause........

The safest and surest way of not giving yourself any headaches when the so called warning shows on the screen is to open Task Manager and shut down your browser
(http://www.compukiss.com/happycomputing/index.php?topic=959.0)

... right click down on the Task Bar and select Task Manager.. On the process tab single click the top .exe file which will be your browser (Firefox .exe or IExplorer.exe) so that the process is highlighted, then at the bottom of the page click to end the process........ Your browser will be immediately closed and there is absolutely no chance that you could even accidentally trip the malware program to activate it.......... If you click on anything in the screen alert, either a close button or a cancel button or the big X in the upper right corner -- any of the normal steps you would use to not use or close out a window on your screen -- you will have interjected the malware onto your computer......... Fortunately Malwarebytes Anti-Malware program, one of the best at removing this trash, is free and does a superb job of cleaning your system....... I use the free version which does a manual cleaning/checking of your system... The pay version does automatic backups and is an active scanner (http://www.compukiss.com/happycomputing/index.php?topic=959.0) of your system and will likely catch this headache when it attempts to show up on your screen.........

Again, because this is malware and not a virus, your AntiVirus program will not help, will not alert on the problem, and won't find or clean it....... that is part of the deviousness of the problem, using the virus name in it's name to try to fool you..........

This is a pop-up problem that you can get just about anywhere on the web, but mostly at peer 2 peer file sharing sites, XXX and porn sites, game sites, and even those social sites like Facebook, Twitter and others.......Stay informed and alert and you won't get bothered again by this PITA, as you will be ready to handle it correctly.
