heater core

I need to replace the heater core in 1998 TC and know that the dash panel has to be remove . Removing panel other then a lot of work dosen't bother me , but my concern is messing with the airbag. Anybody shed some light on how critical it is to remove, disconnect or any info on them.

I've messed with Air bags in many different cars.. as long as there's no power to them I've never had a problem... however, get your 1998 Ford FSM off my webpage and read all the procedures for yourself. There may be a capacitor to discharge.
