Which car would you choose, and Why?

If you had the choice:

2k3 Max-Turbo/FWD

2k4 Max-Turbo/RWD (yes, it doesn't exist)

2k3 Altima-Turbo/FWD (ok already, it fantasy but, which one)

SPECV-Turbo/AWD (same here we know it doesn't exist, yet)

2k3 Max-SC/AWD

2k4 Max-SC/RWD

2k3 Altima-SC/FWD

SPECV-SC/AWD

It's all fantasy but given a choice what would you pick, let's say if they offered it today and would give you a great deal on your trade in?

How abot 2003 Maxima RWD Turbo or 4th-gen RWD turbo?

a 2k3 max turbo awd would be sweeet it would shit on everything:finger: :devil:

2k3 turbo RWD.

AWD = massive loss of HP at the wheels and 100's of pounds of extra weight.

Oh and throw in one of those fancy graphite/composite driveshafts as well.

With a turbo running at 15 PSI or so, you're going to want all the traction you can get in a 3.5L engine. The weight addition is moot.

Hundreds of lbs? no.

A Hundred lbs? More like it.

Look at the Eclipse GS-T and the GSX. The GSX is a faster car regardless of the weight. All you need is a boost controller and you'll just spin the wheels on a FWD Eclipse. No so with an AWD car, well, you can spin all four wheels, but you'll need to make some serious internal engine mods. With well over 300 HP, 100lbs makes little difference.

Iffin your talkin FWD vs AWD I totally agree. RWD vs AWD - I'll take the RWD - with a spiffy light weight driveshaft too (since we are talking fantasy anyway). You won't have wheel spin issue on the RWD anything like the FWD - so to me unless you have 400+ HP, you don't need anything more than RWD.

If the argument is FWD vs AWD I agree AWD is better. But its overkill, overweight and unnecessary, and redundant and all that good stuff. - if you can just get RWD.

Hahaha, that's very funny besides I work all the time, just not when I'm at play anywayz check out the time I started this thread that will tell you something but now I'm at work and it's 17:40 Military Eastern Standard Time (EST) and my boss is still here so I'm typing very softly so she won't hear me, shshshshsh be quiet I think I hear her wings flapping.


Anyway that 97 is nice and I'm sorry I didn't add it to the last for all you 4th gen lovers. I know this guy here has a nice black 97 SE but I can't get him to sell it to me, eventually I will wear him down though and he'll give in. Pray for me to get a good deal on it and if I do I will get a custom Turbo for that biatch.

the 2004 Max is huge and ugly so I'll pass. I would much rather pickup a G35 and turbo that ;)

now a 2k3 Max-SC/AWD sounds much better. it will be unrealiable as all hell but it would kick ass when it runs right, just need to change the front-end and make it look good for once :finger:

Very funny P, she can't log my keystrokes cause we're on different servers. Anywayz to MaxRX7 what's wrong with the front end on the 2k3 Max, I think it looks pretty aggressive or for that matter what's wrong with the front end on any other Max minus the 2k?

2k3 RWD turbo Altima with the back of the 2k3 Maxima and the front of the G35 sedan with the areo pakage. Or a G35 coupe or sedan in AWD with the turbo just like the one that is coming out in Japan. They have the AWD on G35 or shall I say Skyline and the Altima there but no turbo yet on G35/Skyline.

Yeah, it sucks that there are no 3.5 G's or Max's with turbo straight from the factory, but I see what look that you'd be going for. If they did hook that up it would be sweet.

an AWD 350Z or G35 turbo would be porsche status IMO.

I would wait untill 2004 and get the v8 maxima, with a turbo...rwd ;)

Is that a fact or are you just speculating or hoping? I haven't heard anything of a V8 Max let alone, RWD and a turbo, is this just wishful thinking on your part?

2k4 max is still a v6

i got confirmation from local dealer of a v8 maxima...rwd turbo are just wishful :)

I think what he is saying is that a dealer told him that their is gonna be a V8 Maxima comming out.

Actually I've spoken with dealers and they stated that there is no plan to make the Max a V8 model because it will usurp sales from the V8 Q45 and M45, besides if people can get a V8 Max cheaper than a V6 G35 why on earth would they buy a G in the first place, if you think about it it doesn't make any sense.

yeah, nissan tries to outsmart everyone, but they made the new max just as expensive, and much uglier, i might add, than the G35...that being said, especially with the G being RWD, they made a huge mistake trying to push it upscale, and failed(just look at the interior)

Are you talking about the Maxs interior or the G35s interior? Because you know you can get after market wood and graphite kits for the G35 from the dealer.

i'm talking about the max...although the G35 interior isn't that great either. as far as the max is concerned, they put this gross suede like material all over the inside, and up in fron of the dash too, it looks real tacky and doesn't exude a luxury feel. i think the new max's are a step down in interior desing from the 5th gen's

Hi, Im new here and not as up to snuff on the technical facts, but based on my current understanding and bias, I would take a 4th Gen SC AWD.
Like the style and (base) weight. Cheers

i kno it never happen, but i can dream at least. haha, or maybe nissan get like ford and how they makin the 05 mustang look like the older better looking model. hha only bout 30-40 yrs to go and its mine :D
