Walked out to my 92 lumina this morning and i could hear the door locks rattllng from about twenty feet away. They seem to be working, just wont stay locked, the motors slowly unlock them. all of them were doing a variation of this - felt a bit like Close Encounters, but couldn't spot any space craft.:)
The battery was dead from all this, so I charged battery, car runs fine, and the locks and key work fine manually. Meanwhile I have wedged a pen top to hold the metal rocker switch in position to stop all the rattling and such.
What do you think? Some kind of master solenoid? Thanks.

There is a relay in the dash, located behind the glove box that controls the power locks/keyless entry. My 91 Grand Prix (a sister car to your Lumina) had a similar problem and replacing that relay fixed it. I unplugged it temporarily until the new part came in (as it's a dealer only part) which disabled the power locks, but also stopped them from draining my battery and chattering.

Thanks richtazz. Got a price on a new relay, now I just need to figure out where it goes; was under the dash and couldn't find it, just circuit breakers, chime module etc. . Any suggestions, or descriptions? Thanks again.
