Body part peeling off, help please pics included

Passenger rocker panel coming off. On the passenger side below the door my panel has recently been lookin loose but i ignored it until the other day when my grandfather told me that it was hanging off and when i checked it was hanging about two inches from the body. Someone super glued one of the black prongs in and now its stuck on the body. I was washing my car today an took some pictures, i have a couple questions
- Whats the little black prongs that clip on
- Can i get them at a store if so which one
- How can i fix this, will it be expensive, shouldnt be looks pretty easy
- I've tried just pushing them back in but they dont stay in for long the prong seems to be to narrow should i space it a bit

You're not too far from Cherry Hill Mitsubishi. Ask for Jeff and let him know that you need the side skirt moulding clips. They are about 80 cents each. There are 2 types, I don't remember the quantity of each but there are some that are black & some white. They are not interchangeable.

ya thats kinda sucks you like in cali vr4choke cuz i know at least in illinois if your doesnt have obdII then u dont have to got emmisions anymore :) i have no cats at all, all i have are the borla resinators! But ya about the egr block off it actually wont improve any performance. The reason being is cuz egr only starts working at idle at cruise but not when there is a load. When you go WOT the egr turns off so deleting them wont do anything. What im trying to say is if your looking for performance out of it your not gonna get any but it wont hurt your car to delete them if you still want to.

keeps your upper engine cleaner, IE: plenum and heads. and more fresh o2 entering cylinders for a better fuel burn.

I havent got a chance to get up there, but there has to by another way to keep the front part held nice and tight. No other place sells the plastic moldings? and i need the round rubber otulets on the out side to keep the moldings in place. Please it looks extremly tacky when people look at my car and see the sideskirt falling off

I apologize for junking up the place with my questions this is it on this subject i promise. My search for the clip might be over i need to now is #10 the same as the clip in my hand.

wow, they really do have a LOT. i didnt even know they made OEM wheels in 16x8. i guess that must be for the SL

i dont think that's what you need bro...i think the #10 in that diagram is one of the white clips...
The white clips clip direcly into the body panel...only that black clip uses the rubber grommet thing. IIRC, that clip is not even supposed to come out of the grommet.

Instead of making new threads you need to update the other thread. I will merge them when I have time.

hmmm, i think autostrada might be right. i cant really tell. the angle on your pics is kinda weird. you could send a pic of your panel to customer service and see if they can help?
