Conclusion
A used E46 M3 is still better car to buy then all these Infiniti Nissan G,Z cars and the skyline was beat by the new E92 M3 and also by a 4dr the E90 M3 sedan

Bench racing and math is all well and good, but step away from them for a moment. Real world application, the numbers are far to close to call. It will be a drivers race, really down to the driver's skill. They are faster than the Zs and Gs that came out in their respective years, but the 370s are damned fast, and so are the G37s. I love the E90/92. I want an E92 M. I would take one over the GTR. But the GTR loosing to the M3 in C&D was horse shit. It won because it had a bigger trunk? WTF?

Yea the GTR had better track times and seats 4. Its the faster car even though it weighed alot. But for the money the M3 would be my choice.

BMW in not about the speed.. It's about the passion.. The pleasure of driving.. Japanese cars may be faster but they can't compare to the germans mean machines.. My opinion...

Faster? I personally don't care, the M3 is a better car all around. As mentioned above, it's more practical and far better looking. In addition the engine in the BMW is just better. The long powerband, and the beautiful sound of that iconic I-6, it's like an internal combustion symphony. Whereas the Nissan has an engine sound more comparable to crappy techno. Plus the BMW has a near perfect weight balance; better cornering. It's really kind of sad what Nissan's Z cars have become, they used to be pretty cool. I think anything after the 300 ZX was overhyped and just drew to many posers. Granted the traditional M3 driver used to be a total cock, but those types have migrated toward Audi for some reason.
That said, I'd still pick a Mercades C63 AMG coupe over anything mentioned above if I had my way. If not, I'd have the M3
