1995.5 3.2 5 speed.
what else should i try ? backfires, snorts bucking when engine is warmed up to operating temps, no cel no codes.
i recently cleaned the egr, new plugs, did not help a bit. 116 k .
also new pcv valve, and new vacum hosing AND NEW FUEL FILTER , also cleaned the TB. and tube.
Am going to try Misting the coil packs with h20 on a dark night, to see if see any arc's at the coil packs. and wires, as soon as it is dark, assuming that the rain holds off.

When you removed the old plugs, were they all in the same condition? When I had a coilpack go bad, I had no cel. I started pulling plugs and found the middle plug on the driver's side was wet. I got a new coilpack for that cylinder and it was solved. My issue was present when cold, too, though, so I wonder about a sensor of some sort for your issue. Let us know...

I have not noted any plugs being wet " fouled"
they all appear to be nice a dry and burning clean.
I will say that it starts this once engine is warmed up to temp, and most times at 21 to 25 rpm 3 and 4 th gear is the worse then once above 24 rpm in 5th she smooths out if you just stedily feed gas to it, then it is fine with crusing speed of 60 ies. i also note that inclines and under load it gets worse.

HOW do i know if the cat is plugged ?
I seen some oil in the spark plug well, on the drivers side by the brake booster, small amount of oil, could this be fouling the wire? but that dont explain why it only backfires, and such when warmed up thou OR does it.
looks like a valve covergasket is in order.
